Opening of Fourth Annual Research and Applied AI Summit (RAAIS) 2018
Landmark conference in London on June 29th brings together 300 prestigious artificial intelligence researchers, entrepreneurs and investors
The Research and Applied AI Summit (RAAIS) 2018 opens on June 29th in London. The one-day annual event, now in its fourth year, gathers some of the most important people in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning globally.
Eleven speakers will take the stage, seven of them from outside the UK. Some 300 attendees are participating, selected from among 1,472 applications. The audience is comprised equally of one-third startups, established companies and academia.
Among the speakers are experts from Google Brain, DeepMind, Lyft, The Economist, Stanford University, University of Toronto, Niantic, Cloudera Fast Forward Labs and INFARM.
At the event, the report “State of AI 2018”
will be released, produced by Ian Hogarth, an angel Investor and founder/former CEO of Songkick and RAAIS’s founder and curator, Nathan Benaich, and .
Also at the event, the RAAIS philanthropy grants will be inaugurated: financial awards to support leading, socially-beneficial AI research.
RAAIS is unique because it connects the research community developing the technologies with the entrepreneurs and investors putting the breakthroughs into practice. No other event is dedicated to bridging these communities.
